Hi there, as you can see from the title this is post number hundred, and I feel a little like celebrating it hehe. So here you have a celebrating video, enjoy :) .

Edit: well of cause I got the music track on the video muted on YouTube :(

My SD60 Has Arrived!

Yes folks, today my long awaited SD60 arrived at my doorstep :) . I didn’t want to forget this great moment so I pulled out my old camcorder and made a short video of myself unboxing the SD60 :P .

There was only one problem tiny problem with the SD60. You see, coming from the UK it obviously had an English power cable, which is totally different from a normal European one. Fortunately I have an English friend living one house from me, so I just went over to see if he happened to have one, and I was lucky. So after powering up the SD60 I went out to do some comparing of it with my old camcorder.

{[(my friend is having problems with the computer.. Will be uploaded as soon as possible)]}

The days are getting closer to my trip; I can’t wait!

Bought My Beloved SD60!

Today was finally the day where I decided to buy the SD60 :D . I really did a lot of fighting to get the camcorder to a good price recently, because some weeks ago many shops decided to lower the prize on the SD60 but keeping the black version of the camcorder on the same prize (the one I’m in love with!). I know that many persons would just have got one of the other colours (red or silver), but I’m really in love with the black version and all the others doesn’t even compare to the black one. I think that the reason why the prize on the black version didn’t drop was because it’s so much cooler that all the others :P . Some places did drop the prize on all the SD60’s, but they were (of cause) ripped away in a matter of days. So these last days I’ve been emailing around 10 different shops here in Italy to hear if they we going to have the black version available again. Most of the answers I got (around 70%) was: “we have it in Silver and Red” :( , and the rest was saying, “we don’t know if we are going to reorder it again”. Then today (like it was pure magic), Amazon UK decided that they would assume the risk of sending camcorders to Italy, and that made me able to buy it tough Amazon; and so I did! I know that I have paid 20€ more just to get the same camcorder in black, but as I said before, I really don’t give a shit :P . I know that if I got one of the others, I would fell sorry every time I used the camcorder, and in the end 20€ is a good price to pay for not feeling bad every time I use it (yep, I know I’m stage). Then again; ordering this though Amazon also made me able to buy a book about Australia that I wanted to buy, but didn’t want to pay the same price to get it sent over (buying the SD60 with the book qualified me for free shipping :P ).

Ok, now I’ll just have to wait :( ….. Anyway as soon as I get it I’ll make a video for ya :P

Finally got My Computer Back!

After 9 days I finally got my computer back again! I mean, all they had to do was to get rid of some small windows errors :S (takes around 30min maximum). Anyway I’ll begin learning Clair de Lune once again these next days in the hope that I can make the tutorial before I leave for Australia. Speaking of Australia, I tried to order my flight ticket yesterday, but had to leave on the payment page due to one tiny thing :( . There was written on the page that the credit card though which the payment was made had to belong to one of the persons that was in the ticket! So now I have to make a credit card before I can advance :’(. Anyway I think that I’ll depart on the 14th of November!

Finished Work, but without Computer

Hey there folks, these days I’m without my computer so sorry for not being so active, (I’m posting on my mother’s computer right now), but more of that later; because here the other day I did my last day of work, and will therefore have more time to post now :) . I haven’t been paid yet, but they told me that they will call me when they have counted up all the hours that I have been working, so let’s just hope for that one :S. Moving on; I took my computer in for a clean up Monday (because it was beginning to give some windows errors), and I was told that it was ready Wednesday. So when I called Wednesday I was told that there were still a lot of computers before mine and I therefore had to wait until Thursday to pick it up, anyway it wasn’t ready either there when I called yesterday, and now I’ll have to call them again today, and I’m quirt sure that they’ll just postpone it till Monday :( . So I won’t be able to make any videos or practice “Clair de Lune” on my piano, but I’ll get to work as soon as I get my computer back ;) . Oh, just another thing before I finish off; I think that I might have found an insurance that’s quirt good and that only costs around 300€ (that’s a lot less than the 1000€ one I was told to take), so I’m just browsing the internet on my mother’s computer these days to find as many people as possible that has something to say about that insurance company.

I think that it was all for now folks, I’ll keep you updated when I get my insurance, see ya ;)

p.s. I will buy the Panasonic SD 60 one of these next days… Can’t wait :P :P :P :P

Helicopter Cruising Over My House

Hey there folks, I have been very busy working in the vineyard these last days, so I didn’t have any time at all to post something. These last days I have been waking up at 6:47am, and working all day long in the vineyard picking grapes and moving boxes right until 7:00-8:00pm, returning home, eating, checking mail, sleeping again and repeating all the next day :S. Anyway, at a local vineyard less than 1 mile from my house they are celebrating that they finished picking grapes, so there really is a lot of folks at the vineyard today. One guy arrived in a helicopter and offered a ride to all his closest friends, I was at my terrace at that time so I decided to film it. I know that it really isn’t a big deal, but I just thought of putting it on WoM, as it has been a while since I last posted something.

So as I just said it really isn’t any big deal, just a helicopter cruising over my house with some James Bond music in the background, but please check it out anyway ;) .

I can surly state with this video that it won’t be long before I can celebrate that the harvest is over at the place where I’m picking :) . Although I’m pretty sure that it won’t finish this next week coming :S.

My first day of work, and I got really scared.

I wanted to get some extra cash for my journey Down Under, and I therefore found work at a concern that needed work picking vine grapes. So yesterday was my first day working in my entire life. My friend and me had a little trouble finding the place because the explanations we got on how to arrive at the place wasn’t the best. We therefore asked some people in the village nearby, but all the time we got either the wrong or no answer at all. Nevertheless, around 30 minutes after we finally found the place by our selves. The boss was a little mad because we didn’t meet at time, but some people from the vineyard had seen use driving around and looking like we needed directions (so that made the situation a little less worse). Anyway my friend and me got divided and started working after some short instructions. The work was a little hard especially for the back, because I had to stay a little bend while I were picking (the shorter you are the better at this work). After 3 hours I began to fell a little pain in the middle of the chest, but I ignored it and continued picking. Well, after 4 hours of picking it was time for our 1-hour break. So my friend and me found a nice place in the shade to eat our launch. While I was eating my pain in the chest returned but this time it was much more intense :S. I told my friend about it, but there wasn’t really much to do about it. Anyway we continued picking and the last 3 hours me and my friend were chosen load the full baskets on the truck, however my pain got worse the more time passed, but I continued right until the end. At the end we had to accompany an old lady home, and while we were doing it my pain grew. Some time after the old lady left my pain got immense and had to pull over because I wasn’t cable of driving. Anyway after some seconds it got better and I continued all the way home. I really didn’t know what it was, but I thought that there could be something wrong with my heart or my lungs. I was really scared of telling my mum because I knew that she might drive me to the hospital right away (I’m really scared of hospitals). Anyhow I told her about my pain in the chest and she came up with a lot of theories, but in the end we got it nailed down to one theory more credible than the others. What actually happened was my muscles that starts in my back and finishes at my chest got overworked in a wrong position and therefore got tense. They began to push on my throat right around my chest area creating intense pain. So after my mum came up with that theory I went for a one hour-long hot shower to loosen a little up my muscles, and after that I went to bed around 8 p.m. without eating. After more that 18 hours of sleep my father woke me up (2:30 p.m.) for some lunch. But I couldn’t eat because I still had big pains in my throat (but less that the evening before) so I got half glass of coke and that was it. It was only here at dinnertime that I slowly began eating, but small bites (because it still hurts). So I really hope for no more pain tomorrow. Lucky me, there wasn’t work today and neither there will be tomorrow. Next time I work I’ll try to pay much more attention on what I do, so I won’t end up with all that pain again. But if it comes again I’ll sure stop picking vine for the rest of my life!

Got so Pissed Off Today!

If you have read the “coming up” section on my page these last days you have noticed that there was written that I found my (hopefully) new camcorder in a local supermarket magazine. The Panasonic SD60 costs around 370€-450€ on the Internet, but it was only costing 230€ in the magazine, so it was an insane deal (just the thing I had been waiting for these last 3 months). So I planned to make this “more than 1-hour” trip to the supermarket right from the day that I saw it (7 days ago). So today was finally the day, we all woke up early so we could be at the supermarket when it opened and back again before my sister finished school. So we got out there and I went straight for the department where my SD60 was located. So I asked for the model and pointed on it on their discount brochure, but then she said “oh, there was made a typing error when we did that one, the real prize is 410€”. I just turned white like I saw a ghost, then after she saw the expression of my face she went: “but we have its little brother, and it only costs 270€”. Then I don’t know what really happened to me but I without thinking the words “I already know it, it’s a real piece of shit!” came out of me. Then it was her time to turn white, and after some silence I just walked away like that without saying more. That really ruined my whole day and I’m still so pissed off about it, but there isn’t really much to do. I’ll just continue to wait for the perfect offer!

My Classmate Died in a Car Accident!

Paolo PischeddaThis post is dedicated to Paolo Pischedda, he has been my classmate for 5 years now, and we have really had a great time together. But great things don’t last forever!

Yesterday around midday he was involved in a horrific car accident. A truck from the fire department came and cut him lose from the car, and a helicopter arrived at the place moments after. He got transported to the nearest hospital but his injuries were too severe and he therefore passed away five hours after the accident!
He was buried today at the graveyard in his hometown.

He will always be remembered as a cheerful, intelligent and fun person, having his own ways of doing things (and regularly better than others) and with lots of positive charisma too. He was really a unique person; he could get a smile on everybody’s face with his hilarious jokes and fun ways of doing things, wherever he was, people were always smiling. He didn’t mind putting other peoples problems on first priority compared to his own, giving a hand to every person that was in need (especially at our exam project). He was the most intelligent of the class, but not because he studied 24/7, but because he could imagine in a logical way how things worked, and if he didn’t know the answer to something he would seek it down and then memorize it forever. His jokes were so amusing that they could make you laugh even on the worst days (like a day with a 5 hours of tests).

But as I said before, great things don’t last forever! Unfortunately the great times finished much in advance at the age of only 19 years!

R.I.P. my friend, one day we will meet again!

p.s. Take care, and remember to drive carefully, because bad things can happen in split seconds!

Plans of Passing from SD to HD

Yep folks, I’m planning to leave the Standard Dimension behind and pass to a great High Dimension image in all my newer videos :P . So what does this mean? Well, I’m planning to buy a new video camera; and a damn nice one too :P ! I have been looking for this particular video camera for more than 2 months now, and I’m still going to the sales pages every day to see if the prize has decreased a little. Well today on one of my many pages I check everyday, the prize got a big cut, so now the whole thing of getting a new video camcorder is getting really serious :D . I’m talking about the Panasonic HDC-SD60 camcorder (also called Panasonic SD60), a really nice piece of hardware. When it launched it cost around 599€ (that’s almost 900$), but now it’s on Amazon for around 430$; totally sick! The only problem is that Amazon.com doesn’t ship this particular product to Italy   . Anyway I have found it on an Italian site for around 400€ (that’s around 600$), so I think I’m going for that one. I’m still waiting because I really hope in another prize decrease, because I will not be much loaded with money after paying my fly ticket to Australia. Speaking of Australia, I really have to order it in time before I go down under, so I can make some excellent HD footage during my trip :P . Well, I guess you are curious on how this little diamond looks and what it features. So I’ll just hand out the link to Amazon so you can take a look at it there.

Here you go: Amazon.com

I don’t know exactly why but on the English Amazon there is a bunch more text explaining it’s features, so I’ll just hand that out too in case you got more curious: Amazon.co.uk

And here you have a nice picture of it :P

Panasonic HDC SD60

I’m pretty sure to buy this camcorder, but if something else very interesting comes out I’ll sure be considering it :) . Speaking of considering, if you know another camcorder in this prize class that you think can beat this little baby please let me know so I can consider it too :) .

That was all for today ;) .

I’ll be seeing you around ;)
