Such a great race, hands down! There was a consistent changing wind at Cockatoo Island in Sydney today, and it really played a big role in eliminating the riders that didn’t wanted to win hard enough great start. After there was only 6-7 very eager to win riders left and they really went for it! There were one big crash (didn’t know the person) at the final; a backflip went completely wrong and the rider crashed down from maximum height in a 180 degree angle, horrible! Dany Torres was very lucky because Nate Adams was out due to injury, if he was racing he had to place 4^th or less for Dany to win, and that would be nearly impossible I rekon; so good for Dany . So what Dany had to do was very clear, just win the first competition and he was assured the win! It wasn’t a hard race for Dany at all, the rider he was against did a very easy run being too afraid of the changing wind, but Dany didn’t go easy at all despite an almost certain win, he went for some dangerous moves and totally nailed it in front of the judges!

After that it was the semi-finals with Levi Sherwood vs. Mike Mason & Dany Torres vs. Josh Sheehan. Levi Sherwood won to Mike Mason, he was freaking superior; that kid really has some skills, unfortunately he has been out of almost every race this year due to injury; I’m looking forward to seeing him next year! After it was Dany Torres vs. Josh Sheehan, and a thing I really like about Dany is that despite being in a certain winning position he still puts on a perfect show for the audience; but today I saw a different Dany, on his run he took it very easy (even doing a dead sailor or two :S); so he has lost a little respect from me for that one. Josh on the other hand totally nailed it in front of the crowd, he even pulled off a double backflip Travis Pastrana style, f***ing insane!

After that was the final, Levi Sherwood against Josh Sheehan; or better, the Kiwi (New Zealander) against the Australian. Both did a great run, but Josh was just a notch better pulling off his double backflip once again and totally nailing it in front of his home crowd!

I would still say that Dany deserved to win the Red Bull X-Fighters 2011 (just as he did) due to his great dedication in his past races, good onya Dany Torres!

Such a great competition, I’m feeling really sorry right now for not being there :S!

During the race I was drinking some cans of Red Bull, but half way in I decided to spice them up a little with some Jägermaister. Now I’ve put some music on the stereo and having a great after party, feeling a little tipsy with all that Jägermaister I’ve had hehe.

Finally the day that I’ve been waiting for so long has arrived; today it’s the Red Bull X-Fighters finals 2011! For the people that don’t know what Red Bull X-Fighters is I’ll give you some fast facts. Red Bull X-Fighters is a freestyle motocross (FMX) competition held among the world’s best freestyles! The fights are held in bullrings and other similar areas. The riders will be brining on their best (and most dangerous) tricks in front of the judges to score the most points. Red Bull X-Fighters is the most competitive motocross freestyle challenge in the world!

The Red Bull X-Fighters final 2011 will be held in Sydney this year (for the first time in history of men), and it’s going to be intense I’ll assure you that! When I got the news about the finals being held in Australia while I were down there I immediately began thinking on how awesome it could be to go. Some months after I started working at the piggery and I knew that it would be more difficult getting back to Sydney for the event. I really wanted to go even though it would cost me more than 350$ only to go there and get back, but my work leave and visa expiry prevented me to go there, so I’ll be watching it on the couch unfortunately .

It’s going to be a very close race for Nate Adams and Dany Torres, they are both likely to win the Red Bull X-Fighters championship!

Let the best man win!

Hey there folks, today I was just thinking about a big event here in Italy that I missed out on because one of my friends backed out and that made the trip too expensive for only 2 persons, and therefore I didn’t went there . I’m talking about a very big car/bike event called EICMA held in Milan. Here people from all over the world come to see the newest car models and prototypes out there, and it really is a big event. Anyway, I have been looking on YouTube videos today (regarding EICMA), and in the end I just tripped over one of my old videos (on my other channel) from a smaller event held here in Italy, called Motorshow. It’s quirt the same as EICMA but only on a smaller scale. I’ll just let you see my old videos from Motorshow 2008 and 2009 here under, because I think that they are pretty nice ;P.

After a very intense final between Dany Torres and Adam Jones at Rome, Dany Torres wins the battle and takes the win at Rome obtaining 100 points that granted him 3^rd place in the league. Adam Jones (that came second) was granted 4^th place in the overall stats. The second place in the overall score was granted to Andre Villa with a total of 365 points. In the first place with only 5 points from Andre Villa is Nate Adams, wining Red Bull X-Fighters 2010.

It really was an intense race for Andre Villa & Nate Adams right until the end. Villa was leading right until the match in London (the second last) where he only managed to make 20 points, which ruined his great stats he managed to make so far. For my personal favourite Dany Torres I’m happy for his 3^rd place, because if I have to be honest, I really think that he didn’t deserve more than that. I’m a little disappointed with Levi Sherwood score, because I really think he did a lot better, because he managed to pull tricks off that no other person has ever done and push it to the limit all the time. That kid (yeah kid, he’s younger than me :S) really managed to do great, I hope all the best for him next year because he really knows his stuff (I really admire him).

So here the other day my friend and me went to the dirt track I was talking about recently. It really was a nice day and the weather was so nice too, so it really couldn’t be better . A very good thing about the track is that you don’t have to pay a single penny to drive on it (like many many others), all required is a special licence to drive on dirt tracks and that’s it. So I’m sure my friend and me will take good use of it once we return from our trip to Australia . The only problem is that the track is too far for us to go there on our dirt bikes, so we have to buy a trailer I suppose; anyway I’ll think about that once I return from Australia.

I took some filming while watching that day, and I just fast-edited it yesterday. Hope you like it

So here I am with the video from the race. Sorry it took so long but I have been doing a lot of stuff lately so I didn’t really have time, anyway here it is. I have made 2 film clips (one with photos and one with film), I did this because I could put a higher film quality on the clip with the photos (it’s always nicer to watch in HD ). Anyway me and my friend went to see the race, but I forgot that daylight savings had begun, so I got up one hour later , so we only saw half of the race , but it was nice anyway.

My parents actually gave me the permeation to use the Panda hehe, so I was doing a little testing of the car when following the riders to get to the start line , but I will be up with a proper video where I test the car out for good hehe . Anyway, we got to the start line and then we watched the riders begin their first stage. We couldn’t enter the track so we decided to make a big circle around the start line to get on the track, but it was more difficult than we thought. To get to the track we passed a forest full of bushes with thorns, rivers, ditches, mud and we even passed a swamp. In the end we followed a small passage under the bushes that the wild boars had made and thanks to that we managed to get out hehe. After the race finished we continued to discover the road to see if it was something we could use when we drive, so the race isn’t the only thing in the video, enjoy .

Now for video two. Well it’s just a bunch of photos from the race plus some of the track of cause, until the end hehe. Yep, it’s in the end that the good stuff is . So what will you find? Well, in the end I reveal who this idol is of mine . I have made a presentation video of him and his two of his best friends (they are both awesome drivers too) . I have put a lot of time in making the presentation, so I really hope you like it . Enjoy (especially the end ).

Hey folks , just a little film I did yesterday at the motocross racetrack at Gioiella. Think it’s best to give you guys the story hehe. Well, me and my friend went to our local track yesterday to see the preparations for the race that was made today (unfortunately I couldn’t go today because I have been studying the whole day, it really sucks! ). Anyway, we went there to see what was going on, we weren’t really authorized to enter but we managed to get in anyway muhaha. So we got to walk the race track with all the other riders that was racing today, that was great fun hehe, enjoy.

p.s. next week I will go to a race in a town 30km from my house to see what’s going on there, I really don’t know much about the whole thing that will go on there, so only time will tell hehe.
